Working together to create a sustainable future for our North Argyll community
LORN Producers are delighted to offer you a regular opportunity to buy from them at their LORN Community Producers Market held every First and Third Thursday of the month, from March to December.
This is a Farmers and Crafters market, with related community organisations. The Stalls overflow with food and crafts created, produced and grown in the Lorn area.
It is held at Kintaline Farm from 10 am to 3 pm.
The market dates for 2012 are here
Local Farmers and Crafters Market at Kintaline Plant and Poultry Centre, Benderloch, by Oban PA37 1QS
A wonderful attraction for all locals and tourists alike.
Local Origins Rural Network is a local producers and skills network who have established a very popular, twice monthly market showcasing the best in locally grown and created food and creative arts.
Come along and experience the vibrant atmosphere, enjoy catching up with friends over lunch – always plenty to eat whilst your there - and plenty of produce to take home, from butchered beef, mutton, lamb and pork, fresh seafood and fish, goose, fruits and vegetables, according to seasons, as well as eggs, herbs, cheese, pies, bakery, sweets and confectionary.
Cookery demonstrations are regular, as are trial sessions of felting, pyrography, jewellery, wood turning and other craft activities, with beautiful items to take home for yourself, or as gifts and souvenirs.
Plans for 2012 include natural history, traditional skills, language and culture, history and charity stalls.
To make each market even more special it is located on a working farm, just outside the village of Benderloch, where there is a wide range of poultry and waterfowl, Jacob sheep to see as you stroll through the ground, set out to encourage local wildlife, as well as a plant centre to explore.
Signs to advertise the markets go up the weekend before, along the main road, and on the day there are clear signposts all the way to the special market car park.
There is disabled parking close to the market area itself, follow the signs for the main Kintaline entrance
