Rockfield Community centre  are looking for part time Community Hut Site Officer (click link for details)

Part-time, fixed term post for 1 year. 7 hours per week at £8.50 per hour. Start date mid/end October. Hours of work to be arranged.

Oban Communities Trust is looking for a friendly, self-motivated, practical individual with basic IT knowledge and the ability to work flexibly to support the day-to-day running of our Community Hut at The Rockfield Centre.

Oban Communities Trust warmly invites local artists working in any media to submit their work for consideration.
Submissions are also welcome from those who were brought up in the area but who may now be living elsewhere.

Unfortunately as a purely volunteer organisation we could not afford the £160 entrance fee.

Woolfeis 2015 : Fibre Crafts Fun event – a community share day
Dear Fibre Fan & friends
You are invited to join our Community Fibre Craft Fun day     (and encouraged to share with friends)

               at Victory Hall, Benderloch
                on Thursday 16th July from 10.30 am to 4pm

This is an informal fun day, open to all to share your skills, your projects, your passions, your produce.
Hobby crafters and business crafters are equally welcome, as are Stalls and Workshops
                let us know what you want to bring or do.
We will be welcoming locals and visitors alike to share.

  • You can simply bring your needles, your wheel, your loom, your spindle and indulge in a day of crafting with others, there is nothing so fun.
  • You can book a table and sell your wares, de-stash / re-stash, sell equipment, or you can provide a more formal workshop to teach new crafting skills.
  • You can come along to try out on various weaving looms a spinning wheel, a spindle, or any of the other equipment.

We will have refreshments served all day.
